On The Water

On Day 106 of Campaign Smile I spent a few hours on a lunch cruise.  It was primarily for a chamber of commerce group to network with each other though there were a few passengers that were not part of the group.

There was some confusion when I got onboard since they didn’t realize immediately that I was part of the networking group.  In the process I was seated, unseated, seated and unseated again.  Before I was ousted from the second seat I had a chance to talk with a grandmother and her grandson and received smiles from both of them.

After the second upheaval I decided to take my drink and go above deck to watch the scenery as we moved through the water.  There were a few other people who had made the same decision and we had a nice conversation and some joking, adding 5 more smiles.

When it was time to start serving the food I followed everyone back below deck and found myself a seat with several other members of the networking group.  It was a great meal, conversation and food, as well as yielding multiple smiles from all four of my dining companions.

In addition to a fun time, some great chances to meet new people and a different adventure for the day I also netted 11 more smiles, bringing the total to 370!  Cruise on Campaign Smile.
